We collect only the information necessary to provide the DepartureAlert service:
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the DepartureAlert service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide the service:
Your data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Phone verification codes are hashed and expire after 10 minutes. We use HTTPS for data in transit and follow standard security practices to protect your information.
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from DepartureAlert. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. You can opt back in at any time by re-entering your phone number on our website.
For help with SMS, reply HELP to any message or contact us at the email below.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the settings page. Upon deletion, all personal information including your phone number, address, flight data, and calendar tokens are permanently removed.
If you connect your Google Calendar, we access your calendar in read-only mode to detect flight events. We store an OAuth token to maintain the connection. You can disconnect your calendar at any time from the settings page, which immediately revokes our access and deletes the stored token.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at benjaminheim43@gmail.com.
